  2. You had me at preparedness! I have been a closet prepper for years and through this pandemic, have not had any interruption in any supplies or food stores because we have a dedicated pantry and grow our own protein – chickens, goats and fish. Really enjoyed the video and suggestions. I have subbed. If you get a chance, check out our small family farm and consider subscribing. Thanks.

  4. A pandemic-caused grid-down isn’t seem far off. After 3 years and 1 billion deaths, Caspian Fever in “Earth 2100” dystopian film caused power grid to fail. And it’s all downhill from there. Worried that the current coronavirus can do the same. If it did, it will be a complete disaster. 1 in 2 Americans will perish after one month without electricity, and 9 in 10 after one year. You need millions of deaths from coronavirus though, in order for all these to break loose…

  5. I started prepping after living in Florida during hurricanes. The people caused more damage than the storm. I found myself with less than a weeks worth of food, no way to cook and no way to protect or heal myself if things got _bad_ . I felt so vulnerable. I never want to feel that way again.

So now it’s a hobby, but in an actual event…its a literal life saver. As of right now, I have enough food, water and ammunition to last me 5-6 months. Theres comfort knowing that

They key is the big four. Make sure you have three alternatives to each.
    1. Food
    2. Water
    3. Shelter
    4. Protection. (Meds, preventatives and weapons)

  6. The number one thing you should have for off- grid cooking is a Solar Oven. It boils water, cooks food and makes water safe to drink without needing gas, propane, charcoal, wood or electric. Just the free sun!
